Kourtney Kardashian has a home in a gated community in Calabasas, California called The Oaks, Since moving in Kourtney has installed a big screen TV in the media room of the house, which has been described as an East Coast estate with a traditional view. It was dramatically improved by the celebrity interior designer, Jeff Andrews, and sits inside the prestigious guard-gated Oaks of Calabasas.
Four bedrooms, five bathrooms
Kourtney and her model husband Scott Disick bought the four-bed roomed, five-bath roomed home four years ago in 2010 for just $1.7 million.It’s just over a mile away from Justin Bieber’s former house,which Bieber purchased two years ago but quietly sold after some highly published arguments with his neighbors. One of them involved an alleged incident involving eggs that caused the police to search the house as part of their felony vandalism investigation.
To keep things in the family, while Kourtney enjoys her Californian home it looks like her sister Khloe has moved in closer as Khloe has recently sold the house she owned with her sports star husband, Lamar Odom, in Tarzana, California. The couple is now estranged and the Tarzana house has been bought by the Big Bang Theory’s star, Kaley Cuoco, for $5.49 million. Meanwhile Khloe has snapped up Bieber’s former home in the Oaks.
Kourtney, whose redecoration in collaboration with designer Andrews only finished just over a year ago, was originally going to color her home all white walls with everything else very simple. But Kourtney has admitted that when things were about to get underway, she then started saying to herself that she was far too young to be so stark and needed to have some more fun!
Husband Disick now describes the home that he and Kourtney share with their children Penelope and Mason as a house in which Alice in Wonderland somehow meets Beetle juice.
For example, the master bedroom is signed “Love Me” – in the shape of a neon wall sculpture created by artist Curtis Kulig. As well as the four bedrooms, five bathrooms, the house is made up of 5,400 square feet.
Gourmet kitchen
In the kitchen is everything a gourmet may need: Wolf appliances, four dishwasher drawers, and an expensive cappuccino maker. Then the room opens up in to a spacious breakfast area that doubles as a family room.
The couple has completely redesigned the exterior of the house since they moved in in 2010.It is now valued at $3.499 million so it was worth the investment.
Though, as a footnote, it is worth knowing that the mansion where the most recent season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was filmed is now on the market for a cool $6.25 million.
