Celebrity Homes Myths

Celebrity Homes Myths

They say that money makes the world go round and to a certain extent, this may be true. One of the most valuable assets anyone will ever own is their own home. We have seen the luxuries that are available to celebrities, such as fame, power, and wealth. Like any other ordinary person, buying a home is a big deal for celebrities. Purchasing a grand home shows off their status, wealth, and power so it is no surprise that they will do so with the money and power they have. However, there are a lot of myths that are not known to most people about celebrity homes. What we see in the media does not always reflect the true reality of things. We are going to debunk some myths about celebrity homes that you have never thought about before.

Large Celebrity Homes Cost A Lot Of Money

This is somewhat of a myth simply because it depends on what your definition of “a lot of money” is. There are certainly many celebrities who seem to have large homes but are not that expensive. This is due to a variety of factors such as the location they live in, how far they are from the city, the cost of living expenses for that city, and more. It is very obvious that purchasing a condo in New York is going to be monumentally more expensive than spending that same amount of money on a home located in Wisconsin. The point is, is that a large home owned by a celebrity in California is not going to cost the same as a large home that is being inhabited by a celebrity living in Arizona.

Celebrity Homes Spend A Lot Of Money On Renovation

Like the first myth above, this is highly dependent on what types of renovations celebrity homes do. It depends on a variety of factors, such as the nature of the job, the materials used, who they hired as contractors, and more. The general rule is, the more custom the job, the more expensive it is going to be. However, things such as installing a pool, or adding a room to a home is generally not going to cost as much as you would think.

It is quite common for individuals to be blinded by how much celebrity homes cost due to the power, wealth, and status of the celebrity. Warren Buffet, one of the world’s richest men, is a good illustration of this. In his example, he drives a very old car that was purchased a few decades ago. The point illustrated here is, is that since Warren Buffet is so rich, people would expect him to drive the most expensive cars. It is similar to celebrity homes: their wealth is not tied to how expensive their homes are, just as how Warren Buffet’s wealth has no correlation to the type of car he drives. It is far better to find out how much you think celebrities pay for their homes than to actually assume they paid a lot. Sometimes, celebrities do not spend all that much on their homes and that includes renovation.
