What is an Orange Party you may ask?

Actually I’m just making this up as I go along. But there are those out there who need some new ideas to stimulate their entertainment juices and who are past the stage of hitting the local night clubs and prefer a more sedate evening at home. This blog then is for you. Leave the wild nights out to the teenagers. Even if you are young at heart don’t kid yourself that you can keep up with them. Time then for an orange party!  Having an orange party doesn’t mean your guests need to dress like prisoners of course. An orange scarf, hat or handkerchief will suffice. You don’t want your neighbours to become anxious.

We all know that sometimes getting together with friends and family can be a tricky situation due to time constraints. Or sometimes we just get into such a rut that getting us out of our comfort zones will take a monumental effort or a bulldozer. We become lazy and stuck in our ways and when we do actually make the effort to accept that invitation and attend that party we feel energized and invigorated. So be the first to take that step and revive old friendships – the easy way and send out those invites with a twist.

When last did your Family have a Gaming Evening?

It is too cold to go outside and the children are complaining that they are bored. You are bored and so is the dog.  The solution is a games evening to entertain the entire family. When last did you play charades or have you ever? This is a fun way to get everyone involved including Fido and to ramp up the volume with a whole lot of laughter. Just don’t let the more ambitious family members get too serious though. Pit the boys against the girls or have a parent and older siblings on each team with the youngsters to even the playing fields and get busy thinking up themes for your charades.

Keep The Kitchen Off Limits

A home theater used to be a luxury reserved for the rich, and they would have a room specifically built for that exact purpose. Gone are the days where people needed an extensive amount of money for decadent home entertainment due to advances in technology and the price drop in higher end electronics make the dream of the home theater is no longer out of the average person’s reach, which is a very exciting. There really isn’t an excuse to not have a home theater.
