If there has been a series you have been meaning to watch, ask your partner what they think and see if they are willing to watch it with you. Channel Your Inner Japanese And Start Making Sushi

Sushi is very common in Japanese culture and is quite popular in American culture as well. It is fairly easy to make and is very inexpensive as well. Consider making sushi with your partner by gathering all the ingredients at a supermarket. Much of the common ingredients include avocado, sushi rice, imitation crab meat, seaweed, and more. Be careful when buying the rice though because you cannot use normal rice. You will need to buy Japanese rice as it is better for making sushi.

One problem with making sushi is you will probably have to go to an Asian supermarket to gather the ingredients. Traditional markets will not have the ingredients you are looking for, such as Japanese rice and dry seaweed. However, if there is a Chinatown near you or even an Asian market, they will usually carry all the ingredients you need.

If you do not know how to make sushi, do not worry. There are many tutorials on YouTube that will teach you the art of sushi making. It is a very fun activity and the best part is that you get to eat all your creations. Whether they turn out really nice or horrible for your first time, rest assured that it will be delicious regardless of the outcome. Do not forget to bathe your rice in rice vinegar to add that sticky texture to keep the seaweed and rice from falling apart. You might even want to do it again next time since you had such a wonderful experience the first time.
