How to Create a Sparkle on your Windows without a Hustle

How to Create a Sparkle on your Windows without a Hustle

Cleaning windows is not as hard as many would want to make it seem. With the right tools and cleaning agents, this DIY project is a walkover. What do you need to know about giving your windows a sparkle? To begin with, you need the necessary tools. The tools you got will determine how clean the windows, will be. Squeegees are the perfect equipment for this job. They are reminiscent of a paint roller, just that it has a rubber blade. They are great on windows, since they ensure that all liquid is dried. Accompany the squeegee, with cloth wipes or newspaper. However, keep away from paper towels, since they leave dust on the surface.

Streaks result from residue left after cleaning. To avoid having these ugly marks, have the best cleaning solution in place. Use one tablespoon of your dish washing liquid, quarter cup of vinegar and mix them in a gallon or two of water in a large bucket. The ingredients will eliminate dirt and grease, leaving the windows cleaning. With the tools and the washing solution ready, it is time to go out and clean windows. Start by soaking the sponge with the cleaning solution and wipe the entire window. Run the squeegee vertically on the surface of the window. Ensure to wipe the blade after each stroke. Once you are done with the whole window, use the cloth to wipe the edges. Repeat the process for all the other windows.  For those, with textured surfaces, you will need to put more attention. Dirt is bound to accumulate in the indents. Use a mild scourer to scrape off the stains. Then, apply the above procedure, to leave them shining.

Window cleaning goes more than wiping the panes. No matter how shiny the glass panes are, a dirty exterior will overshadow them. You need to clean both the inner side and outer side of the window. Remove debris from the frames and repaint them, if need be. If you are cleaning a window on both sides, use horizontal strokes on one and vertical strokes on the other. By doing this, you will be able to tell the side with the streaks, if they arise. Sunny days may seem perfect for window cleaning. However, the sun will dry up the cleaning solution, before you wipe it off. Cloudy days are the best for doing this home-keeping project. Clean windows are a delight to every homeowner. Besides, improving the design of the home, they also allow light to enter into the house without hindrances. Moreover, they offer a great platform to enjoy the garden and the falling of raindrops, when you cannot open the windows.  You can make your windows glow, without much effort, if you use the above procedure and with the right tools.
